How everyone's workdays should end:
Me, after talking to the boys about their day: "That's great. It sounds like you had a great day at school!"
Cary: "Mommy, what'd you do today at your work?"
Me: "Oh, I had a good day! I had some meetings. I talked to my boss. I wrote some stories."
Dean, running through the kitchen, waving his hands in the air: "Yaayyyyyy, Mommy! I'm so proud of you for writing some stories at your work!"
He stops and hugs me around my legs, "Yayyy!"
Then Cary joins in the hugging: "Yayyyy! Mommy had a good day!"
Love those two crazies.
If only all the bosses in all the world gave that kind of positive reinforcement, no?
