There were a jillion people around, so the boys were in heaven, and as usual, there was lots and lots of food.
Which brings me to the title of this post.
Be proud of me because I sat at this table for hours, talking to my sister, my cousin, Lester and my Mom about all sorts of topics. And I did not have even one piece of that delicious-looking Halloween-themed cake my sister made.

OK, OK. At the wedding, I did avail myself of the MACARONI AND CHEESE BAR (Whaaat?!) and even though there was wedding cake (which I ate), there was also a full dessert bar -- so I availed myself of that too.
And copious amounts of wine.
But let's focus on the Halloween cake, shall we?
For hours I ignored that devilish thing with that creamy center, covered in chocolate. HOURS!
And when I took that walk last week, I did NOT stop for Peanut Chews.
And I'm having yet another salad for lunch.
I'm so proud of myself I think I deserve an award. A brownie perhaps? (Just kidding!)
